Titus Training Program

After working at an incredible pace for nine months, graduates of the SBS know the Bible better than 99% of the world! What more appropriate way to obey the words of Jesus, “…go into all the world and make disciples of all nations…” than to spend 3 months teaching people how to study the Bible inductively and inspiring them with your passion for God’s Word!

Training Time

Three weeks of training are conducted on-site and cover topics such as:

Teaching Preparation Methods | Illustrating Your Teaching | Teaching Oral Learners | Teaching Bible Overview
The Seven Intelligences | Learning Styles | Teaching and Illustrating the Inductive Bible Study Method

The course also includes training in personality types, team dynamics, and cross-cultural communication.

There is also a reading requirement, usually from these books:

“The Seven Laws of the Learner” – Wilkinson
“How To Read The Bible For All Its Worth” – Fee, Stuart
“Discipling Nations”- Darrow Miller
“Foreign to Familiar” – Sarah Lanier

Outreach

The goal of outreach is to pass on to pastors and church leaders the tools of Inductive Bible Study so that they will be better equipped to teach their congregations. Topics such as Bible overview, Historical and Geographical Overview, and Effective Communication are also frequently requested of our teams.

Outreach locations are selected on the basis of prayer, need, relationship, potential for growth and participants desire. We weigh the different options for each program and make the final decision.

Prerequisites
Completion of the Discipleship Training School and Field Assignment (IDS 701/702) or Crossroads Discipleship Training School (IDS 703/704) as well as completion of the School of Biblical Studies (CCM 311, CCM 312, CCM 313)

Accreditation
Twelve (12) semester equivalent credits will be earned upon successful completion of Titus Project (CCM 314). These credits may be applied to a U of N degree program or transferred to other participating colleges or universities
