Short Term Teams

God has placed a strong calling on YWAM Kyiv to bring about a new system of values and principles in this nation. We believe that, in order for true transformation to come about, a new value system has to be put in place. Doing simple things for the community we live in will show God’s heart and His values to those around us.

You can help! Kyiv is said to be the 21st dirtiest city in the world. We need teams and/or individuals to come help show what it means to be a good citizen; what it means to care about and take responsibility for the world around us. We need people who will take initiative to help bring about Christ’s values that will change generations of Ukrainians to come.

YWAM Kyiv has many opportunities, including:

Neighborhood Projects

Neighborhood projects might include work such as garbage clean up or playground painting.

Street Evangelism

Possibilities for street evangelism can include doing prayer walks, distributing literature, performing dramas or dances, taking surveys, doing live paintings or drawings, and offering prayer.

Orphan Work

Work with orphans can include participating with our Key of Hope ministry -serving coffee and hanging out with orphaned youth, or helping to facilitate educational seminars for young people. Orphan work may also include helping facilitate camps for orphans, visiting gypsy camps, or participating in children’s clubs.

Sports Ministry

Sports ministry might include helping to facilitate a sports camp at our YWAM Kyiv property. These camps can be organized to fit the sports preferences of your team.

YWAM Kyiv Property

Our YWAM Kyiv property is a wonderful work in progress. During the months of March and April, 2012, we will be working to add an industrial kitchen to one of our buildings, and we will also be renovating one of our other buildings into a dormitory. Anyone with building experience or a servants heart is welcome.

In addition to those projects, we are preparing for the Euro Cup this summer and for upcoming schools at the property this fall. It is going to be a busy year, and we need all the help we can get!
